Vancouver Island Black Bear Hunts

Hunt # 1

                      This hunt occurs on the northwest side of Vancouver Island with the concession consisting of over 3,000 square miles and has over 40 grizzly-free salmon river valleys. The Black Bear hunting on the northwest half of Vancouver Island is unsurpassed by any in North America due to superior genetics and the densest population per square mile. The average square is between 6 1/2' to 7 1/2' with 19" to 21" skulls. Most bears harvested by this outfitter make SCI book. The outfitter offers both spring and fall spot and stalk hunts for Black Bear on Vancouver Island. The outfitter uses both custom-designed ocean boats and 4-wheel ATVs as the main means of transportation during the hunts. Camp accommodations consist of heated tent cabins with full shower facilities strategically situated throughout the guide area. With this combination of equipment and camps they are not only able to maximize their clients' hunting opportunities, they are able to provide a true wilderness experience as well. These Black Bear hunts are not physically challenging, especially with some of the custom-designed equipment, but will involve some walking. As such, they are ideal for two friends hunting together, the mature hunter, or the ardent hunter who is seeking a huge Black Bear. Included in this hunt are food, lodging, guides, all transportation as well as field preparation of trophies. Not included are 6% GST on hunt cost, Licenses, tags & royalties.

Quebec Bear Hunts

                      The location for this 6-day trophy Black Bear hunt is in the Lake St. Jean Region of Central Quebec.This outfitter has access to over 20,000 sq. miles of remote wilderness bear country allowing them to conduct mobile bear hunts over bait. Mobility is the key to successful trophy bear hunts. Accommodations for this 6-day trophy hunt will be from guest cabins featuring wood stoves, running water, showers and a full time cook.This past season the outfitter had a 100% shooting opportunity and actual success rate of 94% on mature Black Bears.                       The lodge hunt is located 450 miles north of Montreal. This area represents one of the last unspoiled hunting areas in Quebec, particularly for big bears. Under our licensing agreement for zone 29 we now control a hunting area in excess of 10,000 square miles. Access on the territory is by a network of extensive logging roads and by water to prime hunting areas.
This deluxe lodge located on a large lake provides very comfortable accommodations for up to 10 guests. Accommodations include private guestrooms with bedding provided, a large lounge area comprising of a dinning room where home-style meals are served. Indoor washrooms and showers, electrical power, cooler and freezer facilities for game storage are provided.

                      For a comfortable stay the accommodations for these 5-day ranch hunts will be cabins or a guest ranch house complete with Jacuzzi tub, sauna and big screen TV.  Hunting will be done from four wheel drives or ATV’s.  Spot and stalk and hunting over active bait are several methods used by this outfitter.  Spot and stalk methods also find bears in timbered canyons or open benches.  The agriculture and fruit trees on the ranch produce high bear densities.  All color phases-blonde, cinnamon, brown, and black have been taken with this outfitter in the past.( photo gallery)

                     Accommodations for this 5-day hunt will be a comfortably equipped wall tent.  Hunting could be done from horseback, or spot and stalk.   Spot and stalk methods as well as baiting techniques will be used.  This outfitter has been baiting bears for 20 years, which allows the hunter a close shot for archery, muzzleloader or rifle. All color phases-blonde, cinnamon, brown, and black have been taken with this outfitter in the past.
